Went here with my partner and my brother and his wife and had a wonderful lunch a lobster royal and a crab royal salad it was absolutely delicious the staff were excellent too highly recommend if you are in the area

True Norfolk. True rum. Every time I go I gasp as a newbie sits b efore ordering or moves a chair without asking. I wait, with baited breath, for the telling-off. These days, disappointingly, this doesn't happen. What does occur, consistently year after year, are the plates of perfectly fresh and delicious seafood salads.

My partner and I decided to go here on the spur of the moment, We did book as it gets VERY busy, fortunately we were able to get a table. The salad platters are amazing with a bowl of hot new potatoes in butter. And the cheesecake is to die for. It is cash only, which we knew already as it states on the Google listing. It's a very small rustic place with Sea views, and the toilets are in the pub over the Rd, so bring a small pack of wet wipes for your hands if you're peeling prawns ect My first time here, my partner came many yrs ago, and won't be my last! A wonderful little gem on the coast. We love it here.

Cash only and best to book a table, we were lucky enough to be early enough to get a table before the reserve table time. Also lucky enough to have enough cash on us as no card accepted. But hey, all that is worth it, the crab salad was delicious, fresh and didn't break the bank. Outside seating and if turn right when leaving and almost immediately left. Park up and walk up the pebbles to a wonderful crystal clean patch of sea. We sat and let our lunch go down, with a wonderful sea breeze. Will definitely go back for more Royal crab and might try the Royal crab and lobster salad. Highly recommend.

Really fantastic food. We had the Crab royal salad. Really fresh. Smoked fish was something else and will be defiantly hard to beat. We returned again (28th June 2024) and tried the lobster royal salad. Fantastic food quality and excellent service again. Booked another table for next week to try and go through more of the menu

A lovely family-owned business, with outdoor seating and view on the marshes and the sea. The crab salad is delicious and great value for money : 12 for a plate full of local seafood and homemade salads. It's a cash only establishment, not ideal in this day and age, but the owners were very accommodating and agreed to open a tab and be paid the next day. We came back the next day and had the same again ! Probably one of the best crab shops in Norfolk, and there's quite a few of them.

We have been coming here several years now and we always get a friendly welcome. The food is always fresh and the quality and quantity is amazing. You would easily pay double almost anywhere else. Don't expect smart surroundings because you won't get them. Cookies is basic and rustic and that adds to the character. Dining outside on the picnic furniture is best if the weather allows it. The character of the place breeds a camaraderie among the customers and we have had wonderful conversations with total strangers. Congratulations Suzanne and Peter, you have naiked it.
